I don't know how much is known about William Murray Graydon in the US, the country of his birth, but I do know that in the UK he was best known as an early writer of the Sexton Blake detective stories. In 1968, bibliographer Bill Lofts wrote an informative piece about Graydon for Collectors' Digest (an amateur press magazine to which as a young teenager I had considered myself privileged also to contribute before becoming an editorial assistant and professional writer). The late Bill Lofts' article about Graydon is available online at http://www.sextonblake.co.uk/wmg.html. Tom Roberts' book may include something similar, but the Lofts article is a good wrap-up.
