Longarm and the Golden Eagle Shoot-Out -- Tabor Evans

This book is either already out or will be any day now. Although the cover copy doesn't make any mention of it, Raider and Doc from the old J.D. Hardin series co-star with Longarm in this novel . . . for those of you who care about such things as old Adult Western series.

Is there a history of paperback western series anywhere on the net? I'd love to learn more about Longarm, Slocum, Gunsmith, etc, how they began and who wrote them.

I'm not aware of any such history on the net, although some info about who really wrote what is available here and there on a piecemeal basis. Pat Hawk, author of the invaluable WESTERN SERIES & SEQUELS, has a new website up at www.westernreference.com, where you can ask him specific questions on the subject.

TV GUIDE staffers, a decade+ back, used to do round-robin readings of LONGARM novels during database outages, which were pretty frequent at that time. Don't remember if I've mentioned that, James...

I've been writing 'em since '92, so you might have done some of mine, Todd.
